We’re looking for a new Trustee….

We are The Iyanola Foundation, a charity working to reduce barriers faced by our beneficiaries experiencing food poverty or crisis. We are a new charity with an exciting future ahead and want to hear from people who share and support our purpose of “Relieving Poverty and Alleviating Crisis” and would like to serve on our Trustee board.

Our efforts are exclusively targeted at the island of St Lucia where we are currently working closely with schools to deliver our free school meals project.

We are seeking 1 new Trustees who will bring an understanding of good governance and most importantly will be inspired by our purpose. To further strengthen our board we are particularly interested in appointing someone living on the island of St Lucia who has significant experience of supporting vulnerable children, preferably in a charity context.

The Trustee will be required to have a strong strategic focus and a commitment to interact effectively with the Board and our delivery partners. We are looking for someone who can challenge constructively, who is open to a variety of perspectives and experiences, and wants to be involved with a charity that works with a wide range of stakeholders.

Trustees are expected to attend 12 board meetings each year. Board meetings are held using electronic communication channels. Trustee positions are unpaid, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
